Thanks for your input Francesco. The reason this
subject came up again was because I happened to be
doing some research regarding calorie cycling and
someone mentioned ABCDE in another post. I came across
the article and thought I'd take a look at it again.
What I find interesting - and I've read similar
statements in a number of places now - is that most
(if not all) weight loss diets seem to work in the
short run, but lose effectiveness after an initial
period of adaptation. It seems that in many cases it
is *the change* in dietary habits that stimulates
weight loss as much as the actual dietary variables.
Which makes a lot of sense to me since the same
principle can be seen working in so many other areas.
