There seems to be an assumption by quite a few people that slower return of
hunger equals slower digestion. The amount of fruit that Todd is talking
about will not effect digestion speed. Besides, much of the food combining
THEORY is based on outdated physiological info. I think www.beyongveg.com has
something on it.
It seems probable that Todd is getting what his body needs so he is not
hungry. By the way, I have experienced the same thing.
It could be that vegetables are less digestible than fruit (much more fiber).
The body just passes it out quicker, (a laxative effect) wasting some of the
nutrients and the body craves food faster.
<< Here's a thought. According to the "food combining"
folks, berries and watermelon should interfere with
the digestion of the meat, whereas leafy greens should
not. Perhaps it's a case where the greens allow faster
digestion of the meat, therefore causing a hunger
signal much sooner.
