This is a noble endeavour, and I would like to join Ous and Toure to commend you and others for being so generous and compassionate. This issue might have been overlooked, but I`m sure there are many out here who share your sentiments and would readily make a contribution. I remember when I was in the sixth form at GHS, we used to visit these inmates atleast once every week, and it was amazing to me how much invaluable human resource was getting wasted. Dentist Njie was there at that time. Unless awareness and attention is struck to this one, I`m afraid these inmates`plight will never be alleviated, and they will continue to languish in impoverishment and outright degradation. With the way things are back home, I`ll be surprised if this government will give them any priority. You might also want to get in touch with The Gambian Association in Oslo. I know we do some philantropic work, and this one is worth the money.
