Ori Hofmekler's book has now been published: The Warrior Diet. It is
available in electronic form from www.dragondoor.com and in a month or so
they'll have the hard copy version for sale.
The book seems to have some relevance to EvFit subscribers as Hofmekler
claims to draw on what is natural, instinctual and historical. Hofmekler
launched his ideas about two years ago in the now defunct Mind and Body
Power magazine and in two interviews published on
http://testosterone.net/html/64war.html when he was editor of Penthouse
magazine. This explains the macho presentation, though, to be fair, his
chapter 15 is The Warrior Diet and Women, which looks promising. Also
promising is chapter eight, in which Hofmekler compares his diet with other
major di
ets - by name: Zone, high carb / low fat, Atkins, Protein Power,
Andrew Weil's, Harvey Diamond's. Chapter 10 covers what the author calls
The Romantic Instinct and this may be his take on sponteneity and
unpredictability.
I have not read the book, so have no comment to make on it yet. I invite
any subscriber who gets a copy to post a critical review here. The book
should get good media coverage.
