I started with a head start program for disabled kids at 3, went into special
school until 8th grade when I was mainstreamed into a regular Jr. high. Then
in tenth grade I was sent to a mainstreamed school, but away from the friends
I had made in jr. high, and I was miserable. I went on strike, and my parents
found a private alternative school, where I went for one year, then I went to
an alternative high within a regular high and had a wonderful experience
there.
