Mikey,
Too much information to give typed suggestions.  Call me and I'll give you
an ear full (plus I'll even listen first).  I have about eight feet of files
on the topic and the stone and about one hundred conservators opinions, 52
masons, 8 architects, 2 geochemists, 162 passers by and  one ][<en (You
know, wunderken...).   Oh, and eleven case studies, some with documented
repairs from 54 years ago.
