Hello Everyone,
I just installed my Christmas presents. ASUS A7V266-E motherboard,Athlon
XP1500+, and 256 MB DDR memory. Everything else is from my old system. The
problem is with my Initio INI-9090U SCSI card. It keeps locking up the
computer for short intervals and the lights on my Yamaha CDRW4260 blink. In
addition to the Yamaha, I also have a SCSI Zip drive by Iomega hooked to the
card. If I take one or the other drives off the card it still is unstable.
If I take the Initio card out, the system is rock solid. I downloaded the
latest BIOS for the SCSI card and flashed it, and I have the latest BIOS for
the motherboard.
Is it possible there is a compatibility problem with the Initio card and the
motherboard? Has anyone come across such a compatibility issue? I haven't
tried the card in another computer yet to see if it went bad all of a
sudden, but it's always been reliable in the past.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dennis Thiel
