Lately, the Nasty Beige Box does something very close to turning
itself off while I'm in the middle of working. This has happened
several times in the last week or so, and never happened before.
Suddenly, there's a click, and the screen turns black. No mouse
operation of keyboard click seems to return it to normal, though Ctl-
Alt-Dlt twice will cause it to reboot, apparently normally, into
Windows.
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the time it's been
running, since it twice happened again immediately after rebooting.
There is no sign that anything else is odd in the house's electrical
system. The power light stays on, but there's no sign of disk
activity, though I haven't stood beside it a long time to watch.
Celeron 466, Win98 SE, 192MB, 8GB.
Thank you.
