Hi all
I recently replaced\upgraded a friends Pc, because the existing motherboard
failed to boot, no post, after a bad storm. I assume the board has been
subjected to a power surge. I was wondering if it is possible to repair the
board, this is intended as a learning project not an economic strategy.
The motherboard is a Jetway 720AF Slot 1
The borad has built in sound/Vga
I have tried booting with just a basic isa vga card and had no luck, tried a
known to be working PSU (no luck), tested the power switch, power led and hdd
led pins for an ouput with a volt meter (no output), but the sysfan does have
an output and works with a fan plugged in unlike the CPU fan which does not
have an output.
If possible can someone please advise me as to where I should start looking
next?
