Don't know what date the information was on the soymilk, but I've
had some rather extensive :-) e-versations with Rhonda Shigemura
at Jamba HQ, which ended with the last note that I got from her in
October of last year - reproduced here in its entirety...
Please folks, *don't* abuse the poor lady's e-mail. Rhonda is on
*our* side - it took a *lot* of effort to get the barley malt out of the
soymilk so that GFCF people could enjoy Jamba shakes too!

Subject: Jamba Juice - Gluten Free Soymilk
Date sent: Wed, 25 Oct 2000 13:45:34 -0700
Hi Karen,
I don't know if you remember me, I'm Rhondi Shigemura, the
Director of Research and Development at Jamba Juice. A while
back you inquired about our soymilk, and we had malted barley in
it, which did not make it gluten free. Thank you for asking us to
reformulate this product for our "gluten free" customers. We
reformulated the product by omitting the malted barley, and it
tastes just as good as our original formula. The calories and
nutritional content have not changed.
This new product is in 100% of our Jamba Juice stores as of a
couple of months ago. Thanks for you assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Rhondi Shigemura
