Hopefully it is just that you are being too gentle with
snapping the cards in the slot.
That is a major problem with video cards.
I look at them really closely before I close up the case.
First, boot from a floppy. That gets rid of just about all
driver problems. If you still have a problem, (after
being sure the card is fully seated), start stripping
everything out that is not necessary.
