Do NOT.........and I repeat do NOT go "willy-nilly" through the registry deleting all norton keys.
Symantic has addressed this problem and has specific intructions on how to edit the registry for this problem. It is very complex.....and very time consuming.
Before taking this step.......try the special uninstall tool they have developed for just this situation.
I went through the process and it was VERY frustrating....but finally did get the older version uninstalled and new version installed.
