From Richard Archers list
( http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/CGI/wa.exe?A2=ind0101&L=paleofood&P=R1400 )
I compiled (again) that
the PUFA amount in wild game like in other wild food is
*relative* high.
Group SFA MUFA PUFA PUFA%of total fat
Game <pf( 8.44 8.44 4.27 )>= 20.19
Fish <pf( 3.81 6.17 4.22 )>= 29.72
Nuts <pf( 4.14 1.79 1.44 )>= 19.54
Fruit <pf( 0.14 0.38 0.18 )>= 25.71
Veg <pf( 0.27 0.24 0.68 )>= 57.14
like in
Item SFA MUFA PUFA PUFA%of total fat
moose, <pf( 0.220 0.150 0.240)>= 39.34
antelope <pf( 0.740 0.480 0.440)>= 26.51
boar,wild <pf( 0.990 1.300 0.480)>= 17.33
Richard provided a similar and much more complete list of percentages at
http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/CGI/wa.exe?A2=ind9905&L=paleofood&P=R4334
I destillate from this, that it would be hard to
get less than 20% PUFA from any food item found in the wild.
Typicaly more.
May it be higher or lower in fat.
I think it should be a good idea not to decrease the PUFA amounts in our
daily diet, may it be high or low in fat.
