I had radoiactive I 131 treatment for graves disease.
 An alternative I recently read about, and that a young man I work with is
about to ungo:
 There is a treatment called Block and Replace. I would definately try that
before I gave up and killed my thryoid again. Not all USA docs are going be
familiar with this treatment. Basically , it is using thyroid suppressants to
block the diseased thyroid and give it a chance to heal, while at the same
time replacing the thyroid hormones via oral meds. You will need to find a up
to date endocrinologist.
