Can you explain why this is relevant to THIS LIST?

One of my pet peeves is people thinking that they know what is best and/or
important for everyone else - it's called being "patronizing".

The result of this attitude is a deluge of self-important messages to most
newsgroups, web forums and mailing lists, for example:

- Stop Abortion
- Stop threats to Abortion Rights
- Stop Microsoft from controlling the world
- Stop the Justice Department attack on Microsoft, which is hurting the economy

and more relevant to your message:

- Stop the threats to the environment
- Stop the attacks on the economy based on unproven and unscientific claims of
threats to the environment
