I'm semi-familiar with MacDonald's writings. I have
not read the book though. The few times I've
experimented with ketogenic diet have not gone well -
I seem to require more carbs to function well. So,
recently I've been researching information along the
lines of *just* calorie cycling (as opposed to actual
carb restriction - it just seems that most calorie
cycling approaches focus on carbs as the preferred
macronutrient to manipulate). At this point I'm more
interested in manipulating the BMR.

No, I borrowed the book. I didn't even know there was
a videotape.

I'd be interested in learning if you tried ABCDE or if
you know people who have. I did a couple 'net searches
for ABCDE as search terms and came accross a few
messages posted to message boards - both pro and con.
Some claimed to have had great success, others
failure.
