I used to have a shar-pei with this same problem, which was when I
discovered pau d'arco tea. I bathed him with it, and snuck it into his food
when I could.

After my babies were born, I used the tea myself to combat mastitis (which
is a very tough yeast/bacterial infection of the breasts).

However, it seems to me that whatever does not kill the yeast will make it
stronger. We sent in my daughter's sample for a Comprehensive Digestive
Stool Analysis test (cost apx. $200). This test looks for a broad range of
pathogens, AND tests which remedy (both natural and conventional) will be
most effective against your particular strain of candida. There is a
candida-only test which costs about $40.

We have not yet received Zoe's results, probably next week. I could give an
update on this later.
