Bill,

If the ELF is explosive, perhaps a house warming would be unwise.  Might be
better to cryogenize the house, wrap it in tin foil, and microwave.

It's kind of you to offer to arrange a party for our esteemed colleague, but
I'm afraid I'll be away that day--whenever it is.   But keep us posted.
