First get to Display settings (which it sounds like you already got to)
If not either "Display" from the Control Panel or right click on a blank
part of your desktop and select "Properities".
Then the "Settings" tab
next "Advanced" button
next "Adapter" tab
the refresh rate setting is at the bottom.
This is on ME as an OS I don't remember if it was exactly the same path on
earlier versions.
Remember to check your monitor specs for max refresh rates and stay within
their suggested ranges.
