Since the 2906 has no BIOS of its own, you can't boot off
any device connected to it. If you connect the CDROM drive
to the 2940UW, you should then be able to boot from the
CDROM. If you do this, take care to keep the total of the
lengths of all the cables connected to the 2940UW under
five feet.
