Boot to a DOS prompt or a command prompt, then run
Fdisk to view the partitions. Do not make any changes
and be careful. If you modify the partitions you will have
a difficult time recovering your data.

Thanks Bob, I had already used f disk to correctley partition both hard
drives to 100%, reformatted both drives unconditionaly , and did a clean
install of win 98 and am now recognizing
both drives as C & D, C being the new larger drive and as master, the
original 1.6 as slave with nothing on it, will use it for system save or
backup or whatever. I think the problem came from using partition magic and
then upgrading to win 98 with upgrade disk. I did the work, this place
procides a free work area to install your pruchases and gives you free help
and tools. My fault.
Anyhow I am back in business, Thanks for the excellent help as always !
