Recently when attempting to connect to the internet, I've been getting an "Unable to initialize modem" or "Port is busy or invalid". I've gone through several troubleshooting steps and have come to find out that no COM Ports are recognized on my pc. My pc is a Compaq 4540 and all I have are the Windows 98 disk and the QuickRestore disk that came with the computer, what can I do?

Thank you for any suggestions or help!

Kim
