Well, ya know, as one ages, one's hardware tends to morph into software.
It's fairly delicate code--tends to crash quite often. Therefore, in the
interest of keeping the system "up", we're going to avoid any sort of
inducement to failure (e.g., the occasional "electro-magnetic pulse" (EMP).
