Subject: online discussion of "just war" theory and U.S. fight against
         terrorism


The Chronicle of Higher Education is sponsoring an online discussion this
week about a statement released by 60 prominent scholars, arguing that the
current war by the United States against terrorism is consistent with the
principles of "just war." An article in the new issue of The Chronicle
examines the scholars' statement and reactions to it. The Chronicle
