We use Dow foam insulation board and duct tape. Looks a little homemade, but
works great.

To cover window air conditioner units (primarily to reduce drafts), I can
only find the lowest common denominator, 3-sizes-fil-all vinyl covers with
flimsy straps.

Has any subscriber ever found a better solution, short of a sailmaker?
