Thanks for the help so far. I'll try this out tonight. I am MOSTLY
interested in sharing INTERNET access though not file and printer sharing.

Regards,
Fred Hahnel

In your settings for Microsoft Networking, check Quick Logon rather than
the 'restore connections.'

In the settings for file and print sharing, disable Browse Master. These
two 'tweaks' should speed your process up a bit.

I am assuming you have no unnecessary bindings such as IPX/SPX or NetBEUI
bindings to adapters that don't need it ie: dial-up.

hope this helps.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Phoneline Home Networking question

I just installed a phoneline networking system for 2 computers at home. One
PC (server) is using a Linksys card and the other an Intel parallel port
external model.
On the server, now when Win98B boots up, it takes almost 2 minutes for a
bootup vs. 30 seconds before installing the card. Is there anything I can
do about this since this is unacceptable to me??

Thanks,

Fred Hahnel
