I have been using one for a couple of years that I bought at a mom & pop
computer shop. It is a manual switch (A-B), but the only printing on it says
"data switch", no manufacturer or brand name. Monitor plugs into center, and
you plug a pc in on each side of that. The only thing you need to do is have
it switched to the machine you want to see before you boot up. After that,
you can switch back & forth when you want. I use it because I don't have
room for 2 monitors on my bench when I am working on someone's puter.
Think it cost less tha $30.

Subject: [PCBUILD] 2 computers - 1 monitor?
Hello,
I am wondering if there is a simple way for me to hook up two PC's to 1
monitor. I'm going to be living on campus at a college that's an hour
away (UC Irvine, to be exact), and I won't have a car there. In my dorm,
I'll be using a desktop with a 17" monitor. At home, we have another PC.
I'll only be able to come home every once in a while, and when I do, I'd
just like to bring the PC only - not that huge 17" monitor.
