Saul, you are right about the misery and humiliation this moron has
subjected us to. Any sane person (not even talking about a patriotic leader)
would reflect on this fiasco, acknowledge the stupidity of his actions,
apologize to the Gambian public, disband those thugs calling themselves
youth activists, encourage an atmosphere where people can exercise their God
given democratic rights etc. etc. There are simply numerous things that this
illegal government should do to bring back sanity to our society. Apart from
the APRC, it is in nobody's interest for there to be chaos in our country.
Yaya and his cohorts want to create chaos and frustrate the attempts of
decent Gambians that want a democratic change in the country. This is the
simple truth. Yaya is beyond salvage. Reminds me of the Nazis in Nuremburg,
who even after they were confronted with films showing Holocaust victims,
were still trying to argue that what the Nazis did to the Jews was
justified. These Nazis strongly believed that the continued existence of the
Jews would 'sabotage' German domination of the whole world. Yaya believes
that all decent and law-abiding citizens of The Gambia that do not like some
of his criminal policies and behavior are out to 'sabotage' him. No one can
wipe that out of Yaya's little brain. The guy is simply suffering from
schizophrenia. Trying to reason with Yaya is like talking to a Campama
inmate that fervently believes that devils are after him. Like Ebrima's
source said, the guy has gone 'nuts'. Again, this is nothing but paranoia
and cowardice. Yaya is beginning to take seriously the adage that what goes
around, comes around. Where have we heard that recently? The coward is just
going back to the only thing he knows, i.e. thuggery and bully tactics. But
this time, he better be very careful. His actions will not go unpunished and
his tactics will not be implemented without resistance from the people. The
nonentities following him around, spurring him on should also be very
careful. These are the same types of people that carried out the purges for
Hitler; the same types of people that would stand at rallies for hours
listening to Hitler's absurd speeches; the same types of people who because
of selfish reasons would allow a mad man to lead them to the gallows; these
were the same people that were eventually hunted down by the victorious
allies, tried and executed while their mad and cowardly leader (Hitler)
committed the ultimate cowardly act of all (suicide). History repeats itself
in mysterious ways. Yaya is not a man. The coward will just blow hot air and
will never take responsibility. If people are foolish enough to stick with
this spineless impotent to the end, these people have no one to blame but
Yaya and themselves. I feel sorry for Yaya followers. Can't they see how
empty he is? What was Yaya boasting about the other day? He put his life on
the line in 1994 for the Gambian people? Nothing can be farther from the
truth. This coward was peeing his pants at the state house in Banjul even
after they were assured that Jawara had left and there was no longer any
resistance. It is a sorry state of affairs if a head of state would use such
childish wishful thinking in order to impress gullible supporters; or a head
of state finds it necessary to threaten the lives of innocent citizens in
order to command respect. So who is Yaya kidding? But then, his audience was
composed of the same types of people who could not see how dark Hitler's
hair was when the fool was arguing for the superiority of the blue-eyed
blond. Yaya followers should wake up and realize that they are fighting a
futile battle. Yaya's days are numbered. So do not let him take you to Hell
with him. This man's madness and cowardice should be visible to the naked
eye. His hatred for the ordinary Gambian citizen manifests itself everyday.
It is high time we hate him back. We can do lot better without Yaya and his
redundant policies.
