the difference being that there are all kinds of things put in to keep the
majority rule from running amuc over the rights of everyone. ie 2 senators
per state with them okaying the juditial appointments. taking care of two
branches of government and the electorial college serving the same purpose
in the other. lots of thought put into it by the founding fathers.
i'd hope every one thought long and hard before tinkering with any of this.

I want to share something just for the heck of it. I just got an e-mail

someone (not connected with this list) that went to about 200 or more
people.
Within the body of the e-mail there was a statement about the US form of
government being a democracy.
The US form of government is a republic, not a democracy. This seems to be
a
common misconception though. Just sharin...
