Dear Loren,

I can't wholeheartedly agree with your statement that plant foods are
the source of all nutrients.

While it's true that animals get their nutrients either directly or
indirectly from plants, we ought to follow that logic to its
conclusion if we're going to start out along that path.  If we do
continue with that thinking, we end up with bacteria - not plants - as
the ultimate source of all nutrients.
