<<not to discount what you're saying, because i'm totally convinced that
diet
can do quite a bit for a person, but a paleo diet is not a blanket cure-all.
i've been eating paleo for 4 years, and was diagnosed with a clinical
reactive depression this past winter that i am just coming out of. maybe it
would have been worse (hard to imagine, but maybe) if i *hadn't* been eating
paleo and exercising, but it was bad enough.>>
Hi Joann,
I didn't say a paleo diet was a cure-all. Clinical reactive depression is
a normal response to certain life circumstances. I wrote about conditions
people refer to as "chronic mental illnesses", not reactive or situational
depression, which is considered acute, not chronic. I also spoke of
supplements. Diet alone does not work for these "chronic" conditions which
are more chronic nutritional deficits than anything (often since birth).
