Why? Maybe supplementation with pills, but what about
supplementing the diet with "non-standard" foodstuffs?
We have cravings for foods we don't ordinarily eat
(sometimes for the wrong foods) because there is a
enhanced requirement for a certain nutrient. Isn't it
possible that the same was true for paleos? I'll bet
they went out of their way to get certain foods that
made them feel "better" - which in my book is a form
of supplementation.
Some time ago an argument was presented regarding
chimps spending a great deal of time getting meat
(protein) into their diet, even though meat made up
only a small percentage of the total they consumed.
Are they "supplementing"?
