WHAT you're eating is the gist of it.  Thriftiness has been mentioned here;
meat is a very thrifty food in that the body uses nearly all of it.  When
you're eating mostly meat; what's there to get rid of?  If you want to flirt
with disaster, eat some bread and other non-paleo foods for a day; you'll
get to know Mr. Whipple post haste.  Fewer run-ins (as it were) with ol' Mr.
W is one of the first things most people notice when they try this diet.
