Oils that are refined have been heat treated and de-odorised. That
sort of
processing destroys any goodness in the oil and turns them into
trans-fatty
acids. Those trans-fatty acids are particularly bad for us but they
never
appear on labels.
I don't think any commercial oils are good for us - exect Virgin Olive
oil
which is not refined or heat treated in any way. "Cold pressed" is a
bit
meaningless because even if an oil has been cold cold pressed, it
might
still have been de-ordorised and bleached which involves high
temperatures.
It's only the Virgin Olive oil that hasn't had that treatment
therefore is
OK.
