Hi all,

You may or may not have seen another post I submitted regarding boot
problems with my Abit BE6-II motherboard. This has led me to test the
power supply in my computer. Could someone tell me what the numbers below
mean for my power supply. Can I conclude that the supply has not gone
bad? What should the ranges be?

Please note the I/O Voltage under the BIOS section below. Under Softmenu
III Setup it is set to 3.50 V but it seems out of spec.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

When I use a Radioshack multimeter set to DC Voltage I get the following
results.

Same through a wire attached to a hard drive and two case fans as it is
through a wire connected through both CD-ROMS and the floppy drive :

        Red Wire: Steady 5.10 V
        Yellow Wire: Steady 11.97 - 11.98 V

Via MBM5 I get the following results:

        +3.3 reads at 3.26 V
        +5.00 reads at 5.08 V
        +12.00 reads at 11.92 V

        -12.00 reads -11.94 V
        -5.00 reads -4.99 V

        Core 0 reads at 1.65 V

 From the BIOS:

        CPU Core = 1.66 V
        VTT = 1.50 V
        I/O = 3.24 - 3.26 V (I wonder if this is my problem)

        +5V = 5.05 - 5.08
        +12V = 11.91
        -12V = 12.03
        -5V = -5.04

        Standby Voltage = 5.02

System as follows:

AOpen Switching Power Supply FSP300-605 (300W):

        Pentium III 700 MHz
        Crucial PC-100 SDRAM
        Creative GeForce 2 Video Card
        Creative SB Live Value Sound
        Linksys NIC
        2 Hard Drives
        1 CD-ROM
        1 HP CD-Writer
        Sony CPD-420GS Monitor
3 Case Fans (2 Hooked to Power Supply - 1 Hooked to MB)
