Just one additonal note to Mary's sound advice: be sure to upgrade to the
very latest iteration of PartitonMagic, which is version 5.01 .

The original 5.0 release wasn't quite ready for Windows 2ooo prime time and
caused, in my experience, the loss of the ability to boot the Win2K
partition(s) after any sort of data manipulation on the hard disk such as
resizing.  I was never able to figure out a solution to salvage the still
intact but inaccessible Win2K partion(s), so I reluctantly bit the bullet
and performed fresh reinstallations.

If you already own a registered copy of PartitionMagic v5.0, you can
download version 5.01 free-of-charge from PowerQuest's website (about 26
MB).  In lieu of the download, PowerQuest also offers a replacement CD at a
nominal cost (I think it was $6.95 or $7.95).
