Wanda,

Unfortunately you have not given us enough information
to answer your question.

When you said ".... it later said that Windows was...."
we can safely assume that "it" was a message on your
monitor, but the term "later" is extremely vague. If
you mean 5 minutes after you upgraded, there would
be a significantly different answer than if you
meant 5 days after upgrading.

Please try to be more precise and detail oriented and
repost your problem. Some things to consider:

What is the error message you see on the monitor
when you try to boot to the hard drive?
Is there a different message if you try to boot from the
floppy? What is it? What is different between the floppy
disk that won't boot and the original disk that will boot?

When you use the boot disk that came with the computer,
what do you mean by "...I can get into it..."? What happens
if you try to activate one of the executables located in:
C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND ?

How did you upgrade to Win98? Is your Win98 CD a
"full install" disk or an "upgrade" product?

Do you still have the original Win95 software?

The more details you can add, the better we can
help you when you repost to the mailing list.
