I used to have a 500 series HP, and HP sent me an attachment to fix this
problem. It may not be still covered under the Warranty, but basically the
purpose of this attachment was to rough up the surface of the paper feed
roller with a very course steel wool pad. It actually removed alot of the
rubber off the roller, which allowed the roller to now be able to grab the
paper.
You may want to check with HP, or if you are daring, you might try it by
hand!!!!
