oh yes, ralph, this is for real ;)
I ordered the book, Mobile Homes, by Graham Rickard, Lerner Publications Co.
Minneapolis, MN, 1989....
it arrived two days before I departed for harrisburg
(whilst I was deperately asking myself in a panic what the hell I was doing
talking about
preserving and restoring mobile homes, on the same program with folks
demonstrating
colonial williamsburg handmade brick and ancient thatching techniques... ;) )
GUESS what's on the cover?
hehe
a yurt.... ;)
given as an example of one of the first mobile homes used by humans,
and still in use today in some parts of the world ;)
I took it as a sign.... and packed up the truck and headed east to IPTW
so thanks for setting the stage, and I really was very sorry you did not
attend...
but next year's IPTW is, in fact, going to be in brookalino, according to
ken....
I hear it's a delightful place out by the ocean, with ton's of space...
so we'll see you there!
deb "and I'll probably be bringing a mobile home"
if the IRS goes easy on me this year, maybe even a 1956 Spartan Royal Mansion!
