Contact the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions. They are about
to distribute to all 2300+ preservation commissions nationwide a training
handbook on ADA accessibility that was a joint project with the National
Trust and Historic Windsor (VT).
It should be all you need to know, and more. I do not know if it will be
available to individuals or how it may be that you can access its info.
NAPC staff will help.

[Full disclosure statement: I'm on the NAPC Board. So is George Kramer (who
needs to be christened with a nickname). I get brownie points for replying
first, though I have an advantage being in a time zone three hours ahead of
him...I've been in the twenty-first century longer than George, nyahny,
nyahny, nyah, nyah.]
