Usually the deskjet HP printer can be hand cleaned and work like new.
I use rubbing alcohol and a piece of lint free cotton cloth, one of my old
under shirts, and clean the slide bar the cartridges ride on and wipe off the
feed rollers. Remove the cartridges and gently wipe off the head. Then
gently clean the area the cartridge head rest in when the are all the way to
the left. Replace the cartridges and run a test copy by holding in the
button below the green ON light for about five seconds.
Unless there is something mechanical wrong this should get you back to
printing.
