I too would like a solution to this problem. This very same issue is keeping
me from moving to Win2k. On Win98 I use a 2nd hard drive as a backup to
clone my C: drive to. (I use XCOPY or XXCOPY in a DOS window) In case of
disaster, or if up upgrade to a larger/faster C: drive it's extremely fast
and simple to get up and running. This process doesn't work in Win2k. Some
folks say cloning works using Norton's Ghost, others say it doesn't work.
You would think Microsoft would provide a way to clone a hard drive if they
want to sell their new OSs.
