Subject: [PCBUILD] Boot Problem After Replacing PCI Display Adapter with AGP
Adapter
> I just replaced my PCI Voodoo3 Display Card with an AGP Voodoo5 5500. When
I boot my machine for the first time, it gives a long bleep and does not
recognize the card, on reboot it works fine. I browsed the motherboard
manual, but this didn't help, and there are no jumpers on the voodoo card to
change.

need to fill that slot with a card(not Display Card) otherwise my system
will continue to check for a PCI Adapter every time I boot first time?

Rich,
Try checking your BIOS and see if there is a selection for video to pick
whether your primary video controller is a PCI video adapter or an AGP video
adapter. If there is, then select AGP for your primary video adapter. This
can probably be found under PCI configuration or something similar. Most
boards that have both AGP and PCI video controllers have this option in the
BIOS.
