Does anyone in the UK (SE) know of any good sources of cheap CD-ROM
drives (last years speeds), soundcards and modems.

I won't pay 4 pounds for the 'privilege' of being allowed to shop
from anonymous retailers with no receipts or comeback on stalls at
computer fairs, but would appreciate anyone mailing me off list who
knows of useful suppliers I could deal direct with.

I live in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
