I downloaded the ZoneAlarm patch and installed it, but the problem did not
go away. The only way to avoid lockup is to exit ZoneAlarm before trying to
shut down or dialup again. No, I have not contacted ZoneAlarm tech support -
till your posting, I thought the problem was my system. Two of us having
similar problems seems less likely that the system is at fault. All else
works fine.
