As a disabled person, I am outraged every time I see the
Lazio-for-senate campaign ad where he uses two disabled people.
According to the TV ad, the two New Yorkers with disabilities in
the ad are now able to get jobs and not lose their Medicaid
health benefits -- "thanks to Lazio's law."
     In fact, "Lazio's law," the Ticket to Work and Work
Incentive Improvement Act is not law in New York State because
the Republican-controlled New York State Senate never brought it
up for a vote!  Lazio neglects to tell New Yorkers who see this
BIG LIE ad that it would NOT help the two disabled New Yorkers in
his ad!  Or me!  Or any disabled New Yorkers!
     Historically, Republicans have opposed every bill that would
benefit men, women and children with disabilities -- and Lazio
has voted with those Republicans each and every time.
     What laws have Republicans opposed and will destroy if
George W. Bush and Lazio are elected?

1. Social Security
2. Medicare
3. Medicaid
4. Food Stamps

     Moreover, Republicans are still trying to destroy the
Americans with Disabilities Act -- and tort law, which protects
everyone from dangerous and defective products.
     While Republicans like Bush and Lazio claim Gore and Hilary
are not truthful, it seems the Republicans are the true big
liars!
