First off let me apologies if this message should have gone to PCSOFT, but I
feel it is more of a hardware issue.

This is my system:
850Mhz AMD Athlon, KA7 ABIT Motherboard (the one with only 2 IDE
connectors), 128MB Ram, 60GB HD (from Maxtor 5400RPM), ASUS 7700 Video Card,
SB Live! Platinum, and D-Link Network card, DVD, and CD-RW, Windows 98 SE.

Now what happens is that my system seems to hesitate at random points, by
hesitate I mean that it'll temporarily freeze (well at least keyboard/mouse
and video will freeze up, sometimes whatever program was running will
continue to run).

I am in the process of getting my hands on a simple 1GB HD to place as the
master drive on the 2nd IDE connector.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what is happening, or how to
fix it?
I am thinking about installing win 2000 and double booting it, but I am not
sure that'll fix the problem either.

Thanks,
Greg Roy
