I was under the impression that there is only one
>way to follow a paleo diet, which is to eliminate all processed foods,
>dairy, grains and legumes; this is my diet: a variety of meats (chicken,
>rabbit, lamb, some pork, beef doesn't agree with this is why it's not
>included in my diet), fish, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables.
this is the paleo way described by Ray in his book. This way is designed for
peoples who recognised that there is something wrong in the modern
neolithic diet , who are ready to change without having to question too
much. It is designed so you just have to get your food from a different
aisle in your supermarket. But in my opinion it will be optimistic to think
that this diet is enough to be close to what the paleolithic peoples had to
eat. ( i don't want to minimise the effects of this change, it is big
allready.)
I talked about Pork before , and i don't see how the north american way of
producing pork can be close to the wild pigs available in paleo time. my
friend in France used to raised a cross between pigs and wild boar with
freshly cut greens every day and other fresh food. allready the meat was
very different than the meat of an industrial pig but still far from being
close to a wild boar meat.
see the eggs thread you might get a better idea of where i am at.

>The carbohydrate I crave are: pizza, cookies, pasta, pie, donuts and
all wheat , that was for me the hardest to let go of , it took me 6
months of dedication to not succomb to the tentation.
Ah les croissants !
the
>occasional decaf coffee;
i can't relate to the cofe because i quitted at age 20 from one day to
another with no regret , and coffee was served to me in my childhood as
breakfast
