>Hi Gordon,<
Hello there - Have we met before ?? :-)
> Anyone that saw me probably thought I was drunk. It's the little stupid things in life that really bug me...........<
Maybe you were ? :-)
Nope - you werent..
- To anyone with young kids with CP / other - I would encourage you to get them involved with the Scouts / Girl-Guides etc....
When i lived in london, I was with a good scout-troop, & at the time, was able to walk a lot better than i do now..
- I did Kyaking (ignore my spelling - i guess you know what im talking about), ab-sailing, rock-climbing, canooing etc.. - lots of great stuff..
But when i came to NZ, in 1983, we tried to find a scout-group here for me to join one here..
- The ones in UK/London, were more open / encouraging - the one in NZ wasnt - never joined.. :-(
- The one in UK - wasnt a disabled-group - I was the only "disabled" person there, but didnt miss out on much..
But im sure there are some good 'disabled' scout/guide groups in other countries - so check them out.. - might expand your / your kids / your partners lives...
Gordon.
