The pyramids were put together using mortar. From the mortar, egyptianeers
have recovered bits of charcoal left over from the gypsum burning process
which have been used in carbon dating the period of construction. In the
future, people will study the trash - coke cans, twinkie wrappers, bodies,
etc. - that get tossed in modern day buildings during construction.
